The shoot for Thalapathy Vijay's Varisu is going on full swing. And now, the film's music director Thaman has shared a picture from the shooting spot at the Vishakhapatnam port. In the picture, Thaman is seen walking along the port. Thaman has been regularly sharing updates about the progress of the music scene. This is the first time that the composer is scoring music for a Vijay film and he called the opportunity a dream come true.
It was not long ago that pictures and videos of Vijay at the Chennai and Vishakhapatnam had gone viral. The shoot is expected to move to the final stages by the end of this month and is likely to wrapped up by October. The shoot is progressing despite the Telugu Film Producers Guild announcing a strike to meet their demands for better wages. The production halt is applicable only for Telugu films.
Varisu is gearing up for release for Pongal 2023. Varisu is directed by Vamshi Paidipally and the film is a bilingual with the Telugu version titled Vaarasudu. The team had released the first, second and third look posters on the occasion of Vijay's birthday. The buzz is that Vijay is playing a dual role in the film. This is also the first time that Vijay is teaming up with Vamshi Paidipally.
Rashmika Mandanna plays the leading lady in the film and this will be the first time that she is working with Vijay. The film us said to a family drama featuring an ensemble cast that includes Prakash Raj, Sarathkumar, Shaam, Prabhu, Srikanth, SJ Suryah, Jayasudha, Yogi Babu, Sangeetha Krish and Samyuktha Shanmuganathan.
