The film, which had a box office clash with Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat, has been beating Harshvardhan Rane's film by a huge margin. After 6 days, Thamma collected Rs. 91.70 crore.

The horror-comedy film Thamma stars Ayushmann Khurrana, Rashmika Mandanna, and Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
The horror comedy story follows Alok Goyal (Khurrana), a journalist who falls in love with Tadaka (Mandanna), a vampire from the Betal sect. Their forbidden romance is threatened by Yakshasan (Siddiqui). He is the tyrannical leader of the Betal clan, and Alok must embrace his new vampire form to challenge him.
Thamma is part of the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe and the 5th instalment after Stree, Stree2, Bhediya, and Munjya. The movie also features cameo appearances from other characters in the universe, including those from Stree and Bhediya.
