Thamma out on OTT: Where and how to watch Ayushmann Khurrana-Rashmika Mandanna's hit horror comedy film online

Thamma is the latest instalment of the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe after Stree, Stree 2, Bhediya, and Munjya. Thamma is a 2025 Indian Hindi-language romantic horror-comedy film, marking the fifth instalment in the MHCU. It combines a modern love story with Indian folklore about betal (vampire-like creatures).

The plot follows Alok Goyal (Ayushmann Khurrana), a journalist, who has a near-fatal encounter with a bear in a jungle but is rescued by a mysterious woman named Tadaka (Rashmika Mandanna). 

However, Tadaka belongs to a secret sect of Betaals who stopped drinking human blood many years ago and have their own strict rules. Tadaka brings Alok to the city and struggles to adapt to the human world, which leads to some humorous situations at his parents' house. The main conflict arises when Alok discovers Tadaka's true nature as a vampire. After Alok is injured, he begins to transform into a vampire himself, blurring the lines between his humanity and his new nature.

Following this, Tadaka and Alok aim to face the powerful and fearsome "Thamma" (leader) Yakshasan of the other Betaals, who is confined to a cave for past crimes and craves human blood. Together, they try to stop Yakshasan's reign of terror and save the human world.
