It has been quite some time since Nithiin delivered a hit at the box office. Unfortunately, his last few films turned out to be massive flops, putting immense pressure on him to make a strong comeback. However, the talented actor has now pinned all his hopes on his upcoming projects, Thammudu and Robinhood, both of which are currently in production and nearing completion.
Nithiin's Thammdu release date details
Among the two, Thammudu is set to hit screens first. The makers have finalized May 9, 2025, as the film’s release date, making it a much-anticipated summer release. An official announcement confirming the same is expected soon. The film is directed by Venu Sriram, known for his previous work on Vakeel Saab starring Pawan Kalyan.
Interestingly, Thammudu shares its title with the 1999 Pawan Kalyan classic, but the makers have clarified that the storyline is entirely different, with no connection between the two films.

Produced by Dil Raju and Sirish under their banner Sri Venkateswara Creations, Thammudu features music composed by Ajaneesh Loknath. Except for a few remaining patchwork scenes, the shooting has been successfully wrapped up. Actress Varsha Bollamma plays the female lead in this action-packed drama, which has been made on a tight budget.
Dil Raju, riding high on the success of Sankranthiki Vasthunnam, is ensuring that Thammudu gets a proper theatrical release, as he believes this film will mark Nithiin’s much-needed comeback. Unlike his previous projects, Raju is not rushing the release and has strategically chosen May 9, 2025, to maximize its potential.
Meanwhile, Robinhood, Nithiin’s other film, is yet to finalize a release date but is tentatively aiming for a March 2025 premiere. Sreeleela plays the female lead in this project. Stay tuned for more updates on these exciting releases!
