Thammudu locks release date: Here's when Nithiin-Saptami Gowda's film hits the big screens

Nithiin is going through a massive lull in his career and is in dire need of a strong comeback. He pinned all his hopes on Robinhood, directed by Venky Kudumula of Chalo and Bheeshma fame. Unfortunately, despite its decent comedy, the film flopped at the box office. Taking things in stride, Nithiin has moved on to his next project, Thammudu, which is being directed by Venu Sriram of Vakeel Saab fame.

Thammudu locks release date

The film is nearing completion, and the makers have finally locked the release date. This action drama is all set to hit the screens on July 4, 2025. The announcement was made with a swanky new poster featuring Nithiin in an aggressive avatar.

A special highlight of the film is the return of yesteryear actress Laya, known for her roles in Swarabhishekam and Hanuman Junction, who plays Nithiin's sister. Thammudu marks her comeback to Telugu cinema after a long gap. Varsha Bollama also plays a key role in the film. 

Laya makes a comeback with Thammudu

Star producer Dil Raju is backing the film and has invested heavily in it. The project has been in the making for over two years and faced delays due to unknown reasons. Another exciting aspect is the Telugu debut of Kantara fame Saptami Gowda. The music is composed by Ajaneesh Loknath.

With such a solid team, the makers are confident that Thammudu will hit the bull’s eye at the box office. Nithiin will be seen in an action-packed role in this emotional brother-sister drama with a strong social backdrop.
