Thandakaaranyam is an upcoming Tamil film starring actors Dinesh and Kalaiyarasan in the lead roles. The makers of the film had announced a new few days back that it will be releasing in theatres on September 19. On Monday, the team of Thandakaaranyam revealed the teaser on social media.

Thandakaaranyam is written and directed by Athirai Athiyan, who earlier made Irandam Ulaga Porin Kadaisi Gundu. With Kalaiyarasan and Dinesh leading the film, Thandakaaranyam teaser has been released. Dinesh was last seen in Lubber Pandhu, the sports drama which heaped praises and critical acclaim last year.
The teaser begins with a couple walking as, we hear a voiceover saying that every time a girl is born in the village, a 'kizhangu' is also born. The belied goes that the man who retrieves the kizhangu is the man destined for the girl. We see a couple in love as the forest becomes a witness of their romance. But as the man goes in search of kizhangu and is never to return, the teaser takes a dynamic and intense turn. The teaser hints that Thandakaaranyam will be an intense film with rooted emotions, action, and social messaging.

Thandakaaranyam will be releasing in theatres on September 19. The film will be clashing at the box office along with two other Tamil releases; Kavin-starrer romantic drama Kiss, and Vijay Antony’s Shakthi Thirumagan.
A Pa Ranjith production, Thandakaaranyam will have music by Justin Prabhakaran, with Pratheep Kaliraja cranking the camera. Selva RK is the editor of the film, and T Ramalingam is the art director. The star cast also includes actors Riythvika, Vinsu Sam, Shabeer Kallarakkal, Muthukumar, Arul Dass, Saranya Ravichandran, and Bala Saravanan.
