One special aspect is that the collections on day three were even bigger than on day one. Thandel made Rs 13 crore on its first Sunday, whereas the day one collections were only Rs 11.5 crore. The OTT rights have been sold to Netflix for a massive Rs 55 crore, helping the makers recover nearly half of the budget even before the film’s release.
To be in the safe zone, Thandel needs to collect a Rs 90 crore share, and by the looks of it, things seem promising for the makers. A grand success event has been planned for later today, February 11, in Hyderabad, where the entire cast will participate and share their experiences.
Meanwhile, the film has also landed in controversy. The HD print of Thandel was reportedly aired on a government bus, sparking outrage among the production team. The makers have taken this issue seriously and issued strict warnings against piracy.
Thandel maintains steady occupancy on day 5
On Tuesday, the film’s occupancy levels have remained steady. Reports indicate that morning shows started with over 50% occupancy, which is a strong sign. As the day progresses, the numbers are expected to improve further.
