Superstar Vikram was in Hyderabad to launch the teaser of his new film Thangalaan. The film is all set to hit the screens on January 26, 2024
Thangalaan is one of the most awaited films as Vikram has teamed up with National Award-winning director Pa Ranjith. The teaser of the film is out now and the entire team came down to reveal the Telugu teaser in Hyderabad. During a media interaction, a question posed by a journalist shocked Vikram and his team.
When asked why the Tamil audience does not encourage Telugu dubbed films as much as the Telugu audience does with Tamil cinema, Vikram was taken aback for a moment and said that he does not agree with the statement and films like RRR and KGF are the biggest examples of Tamil audience loving dubbed Telugu films. "Tamil audiences love Telugu films and I can cite you so many films which have been big hits at the box office in Tamil Nadu," said Vikram.
In the last few years, the amount of other regional language films that have been big hits in Telugu gives you an idea that irrespective of star cast, the Telugu audience loves watching south films and encourages them.
The journalist also meant the same and was asking why the Tamil audience or fans are not that crazy about Telugu films and why some popular Tollywood films ended as flops when released in Tamil. As Vikram cited a number of examples, things became normal.
Vikram has a massive following in Telugu and has done a number of Telugu films in his career. Whenever he tries something new, the audience always loves it. There is a good buzz for Thagalaan too and the teaser has received a thumbs-up from Telugu fans and critics.
The period drama is all set for a release on January 26, 2023, and for now, the teaser has evoked a solid reception from the audience. Watch this space for more updates on this project.
