Thank God advance booking: Ajay Devgn, Sidharth Malhotra film is off to a good start

The clash between Ajay Devgn's Thank God and Akshay Kumar's Ram Setu is something that everyone's waiting this Diwali. And, as it turns out, Ajay Devgn and Sidharth Malhotra's Thank God is bringing in big advance booking numbers. 

On Tuesday, two big-banner Bollywood movies are releasing in theatres: one is Thank God, which stars Ajay Devgn, Sidharth Malhotra, and Rakul Preet Singh, and the other is Akshay Kumar’s Ram Setu. As per reports, Akshay Kumar's Ram Setu has not been able to generate as much noise as a movie of this stature would expect, however, Ajay Devgn's film Thank God is able to make the audience curious. 

As per a trade report by Hindustan Times, Thank God has amassed over one crore in advance bookings for its opening day and although the number is not super high, it is expected to make double the amount on Day One through box office collections. 

As per the same report, by Monday evening, Thank God has managed to sell tickets over 1.08 crore in advance bookings for the opening day. However, the advance bookings numbers are expected to be closing around 1.25 crore by Monday night. The numbers are disappointing as compared to other recent box office smashers, but with the film opening on Goverdhan Pooja-holiday, it is most likely to make 10-12 crore on the first day itself.

Some predictions also claim that the aforementioned numbers are optimistic and ambitious. as the film's whole collection depends on the critical analysis and word of mouth publicity. Having said that, since Diwali releases always do well at the box office on the day of the release, it is safe to say the movie might see some decent income.

Starring Siddharth Malhotra, Ajay Devgn, and Rakul Preet Singh, Thank God is a comedy film, written and directed by Indra Kumar. The film is about a few members of civil society who attempt to bring a change in their environments. Produced by TSeries and Maruti International, the film will also see Sri Lankan singer Yohaani, sing the Hindi version of her hit song Manike Mage Hithe.
