Thank You, Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story is ready to hit OTT this April and dropped a full-length trailer yesterday. The docuseries will showcase the rise of “a bunch of kids from New Jersey” as they trailblaze their way through the world, from recording music on borrowed time from studios, peaking in the '80s, to creating their best song, Livin’ on a Prayer. Thank You, Goodnight will also show the recent years, including Bon Jovi’s vocal injury.
Directed by the Emmy-winning Gotham Chopra, the documentary four-part show will feature all the original members of the band, including estranged founder and guitarist Richie Sambora. The show will stream on Hulu on April 26, 2024, and Indian viewers can enjoy the docuseries on Disney+ Hotstar on the same day. The documentary will also feature never-seen-before photos and footage, along with never-to-be-released demo songs and lyrics.

Release Date | April 26, 2024 |

Comprising narration from all the band members: estranged guitarist Richie Sambora, keyboardist David Bryan, drummer Tico Torres and, of course, Jon Bon Jovi himself. Only Alec John Such, the original bassist, is missing, as he passed away in 2022. The band credited with bridging the gap between heavy metal and stylish rock and pop music has finally decided to go on record.
Thank You, Goodnight will depict the electrifying band’s highs and lows, from signing the chests of fans to touring lavishly to their dark phases of fame, that had destroyed Tico Torres’ marriage and nearly killed Jon Bon Jovi. Despite being a docuseries, the show’s unique narrative style and honest depiction are intriguing even for viewers who do not like documentaries.
Thank You, Goodnight offers an uninhibited peek at the living legend Jon Bon Jovi’s lengthy and illustrious career as well as his recent atrophy of the vocal cords that has restricted his musical tools from gracing us with music again. Despite not being sure whether a happy ending awaits him, the docuseries’ peppy, upbeat approach to both the good and the bad is what might make it such a captivating watch.
