Tharun Sudhir is the man that fans of Challenging Star Darshan are looking up to in the hope that his next film with the actor will bring back glory days. Although the team of Darshan’s last film, Kranti, claimed that it was a hit and broke into the Rs 100-crore club, industry insiders dispel this and say that the numbers don’t add up. In fact, even hardcore Darshan fans have been taking to social media requesting the actor to stop working only with his close circle of friends, like composer-director Harikrishna, for instance, and show better judgement in his script selection.
Tharun’s Chowkaa, in which Darshan had a cameo and then Roberrt, worked well, so fans are hopeful that he will ensure D56 will also have enough to power it through at the box office. The film, produced by Rockline Venkatesh, pairs Darshan with Radhana Ram, the daughter of veteran actress Malashree and late producer Koti Ramu. The team had been trolled for this unusual pairing, given that Radhana is very young.
Nevertheless, shooting for D56 has been progressing, and in the last several weeks, the buzz on social media has been about figuring out what title the team would have come up for the film. Several industry trackers claimed to have cracked the case of the #D56 title, with Kateera and Chowdayya emerging as the frontrunners. However, a few days ago there was a post on the film’s official social media page saying that it was something different altogether and that it would be revealed on February 16 on the actor’s birthday. And now comes Tharun's promise of an update at 4 pm.
Darshan is supposedly reuniting with Tharun for another film and one with team Kranti too. There are also rumours of a collaboration with Om Prakash Rao, after the veteran filmmaker met up with Darshan recently.
