Thattathin Marayathu, the 2012 released film remains one of the most successful love stories ever produced by Malayalam cinema. The movie, which marked the second collaboration of actor-filmmaker Vineeth Sreenivasan and popular Nivin Pauly after their debut film Malarvadi Arts Club, completed 12 years of its release on July 6, 2024. Thattathin Marayathu, which is considered one of the path-breaking Malayalam films made in the last decade, is still widely loved by the audiences for its lovely making, performances, and the memorable soundtrack by Shaan Rahman.

As you may know, Nivin Pauly rose to stardom with the massive success of Thattathin Marayathu. The actor, who played the protagonist Vinod in the film, won millions of hearts with his performance and amazing coming timing in the film. As the Vineeth Sreenivasan directorial turned 12, the crowdpuller of Malayalam cinema took to his official social media handles and posted a mash up video, along with a special caption. “Twelve glorious years of timeless romance “Thattathin Marayathu” @vineeth84 @jomontjohn @shaanrahman @ajuvarghese @talwarisha,” reads Nivin’s post.
Aju Varghese, who played the role of Vinod’s best friend Abdu in the movie, celebrated the special occasion with a fun post on his official Instagram handle. The actor, who is best known for his exceptional humour sense, lip-synced for the ‘Anuragathin Velayil’ song, which is sung by director Vineeth himself in a video, with a special caption that reads: “12 years... @vineeth84 Will you sing like this? @shaanrahman @nivinpaulyactor @talwarisha.” Vineeth Sreenivasan, on the other hand, reshared all the posts on his Instagram handle, with lots of smileys.
