Shiv Thakare is officially announced the winner of the reality show, The 50. The first season came to an end on Sunday, March 22, 2026 with the official announcement. This happened a month after the makers had shot the Grand Finale episode with various ‘winners,’ keeping the suspense alive. Prince Narula’s sacrifice for Shiv Thakare did not go in vain since Shiv lifted the trophy and briefly won the cash prize of Rs. 50 lakhs.

Shiv Thakare was officially announced the winner of The 50 on Sunday, March 22, 2026 – when the reality show’s finale episode streamed on JioHotstar. He was rumoured to be the winner of the reality show since almost a month, but the makers managed to retain some suspense by announcing that they had shot all of the top five contestants lifting the trophy to keep the winner a suspense till the very last moment. Nonetheless, like suspected, Shiv Thakare did pick up the trophy and won the cash prize of Rs. 50 lakhs briefly. The winner gave away his cash prize to a lucky fan eventually.

Prince Narula, who has won almost all reality shows he has participated in, gave away his opportunity to win Ticket To Finale to Shiv Thakare. He declared that Shiv should get the opportunity to fight for the trophy with Rajat Dalal, Faisal Shaikh (Mr. Faisu), Immortal Kaka and Krishna Shroff. Eventually, Shiv, who has won Bigg Boss Marathi 2 in the past, emerged the winner of the very first season of The 50, hosted by ‘The Masked Lion.’
In a media statement, Shiv Thakare shared the message he would like to give the viewers through his win for The 50. Shiv stated that he wanted to prove that a reality show can be won without the need to fight or shout in order to be heard. “The 50 was a completely new experience for me, and I wanted to show a different side of Shiv Thakare, one that believes you don’t need to shout or fight to be heard. You can play with heart, stay true to yourself, and still win. Being the winner of the very first season, especially among 50 strong players, is something that will always be remembered, and that makes me incredibly happy,” he signed off.
