The actress says she is in awe of filmmaker Mani Ratnam’s latest magnum opus

Katrina Kaif has expressed her desire to work in South Indian films after watching Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan: Part 1. Saying that she was wonderstruck after watching the film, Katrina said that if the right script and role came her way, then languages will not be a deterrent for her.
Praising Mani Ratnam’s magnum opus, which features Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Trisha, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Jayaram, Aishwarya Lekshmi, among others, is a blockbuster hit, raking in nearly Rs 500 crores worldwide.
Katrina expressed her desire to work with South Indian directors, including Mani Ratnam. She said that she was in complete awe of the grandeur, music and beautiful frames of Ponniyin Selvan: Part 1. She also added that the filmmaker has proved his mettle on screen after making such an iconic film at this stage in his life.
Katrina did South Indian movies in the initial stages of her career. She made her Telugu debut in 2004 with Malliswari.
Katrina is busy promoting her upcoming film, Phone Bhoot alongside Ishaan Khatter and Siddhant Chaturvedi. The Gurmeet Singh directorial is set to release on November 4.
