Some period drama, thrillers, and Christmas festive spirit in this week's options of titles that have been dubbed in Kannada

It’s the weekend, and if you are looking to curl up on your sofa and catch some of the latest titles streaming on OTT, well, the bad news is that the Kannada original that was to come out this week, Tagaru Palya, hasn’t for reasons best known to the makers and the platform. Not to worry, there are a bunch of other language titles that make for a decent watch and have Kannada audio options too. Here they are:
The Archies
Director Zoya Akthar takes the characters of the popular Archies comics and creates a fantasy version in India set in the 60s. The film also marks the acting debuts of three star kids – Suhana Khan (Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter), Kushi Kapoor (Sridevi’s daughter) and Agastya Nanda (Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson).

Vadhuvu
This is the Telugu version of the Bengali series Indu and has Avika Gor in the lead. Directed by Poluri Krishna, Vadhuvu is about Indu (Avika), who has trouble getting married. First, her fiancé elopes with her sister and later, when she eventually finds a match, it turns out that her new family has a dark past and someone is out to get her.

Jigarthanda DoubleX
Nearly a decade after he made Jigarthanda, Karthik Subbaraj returns with Jigarthanda Double X. This time around, he gets Raghava Lawrence and SJ Suryah together in a tale about a filmmaker and a gangster collaborating to make a Western film.

Mast Mein Rehne Ka
Director Vijay Maurya’s film follows to elderly widowed people, played by Neena Gupta and Jackie Shroff, who strike a friendship and become each other’s emotional support. The film explores dealing with loneliness and finding companionship.
