It is official! The makers of Kamal Haasan's Vikram are to hold a grand audio launch on May 15, at the Jawaharlal Nehru indoor stadium in the evening. The event will also see the trailer of the film getting launched.
OTTplay had already told you the prep work for the same was going on in full swing, for quite some time. Initially, the audio launch was supposed to happen in the UAE during the first week of May. However, considering the situation of Covid cases, the event will take place here. There will be a few dance performances, choreographed by Sandy of Bigg Boss Tamil 3 fame.
Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the team had recently announced the launch of a metaverse experience with NFTs and a theatrical trailer at the Cannes Film Festival.
Vikram to have parts in which Kamal Haasan will appear as a 30-year-old during the flashback portions. According to reports, the makers had spent over Rs 10 crore on the technology incorporated in Hollywood films to make the actor look younger. Kannada actor Shanvi Srivastava is said to play the leading lady in the film alongside Kamal in his flashback story. However, for now, there is no information regarding who plays the leading lady.

Co-written by Lokesh Kanagaraj and Rathna Kumar of Aadai fame, Vikram also stars Vijay Sethupathi, Fahadh Faasil, Antony Varghese, Narain, Kalidas Jayaram, Arjun Das, Gayathrie Shankar, Shivani Narayanan, Hareesh Peradi and others, in pivotal roles.
Kamal Haasan was last seen in Vishwaroopam 2, which was released in theatres in 2018.
Vikram is produced by Raaj Kamal Films International (RKFI), along with R Mahendran. Interestingly, it was also the title of a 1986 action adventure film directed by Rajasekhar, starring Kamal Haasan and Sathyaraj, among others.
The caption of the film, ‘There lived a ghost’ indicates that Vikram is a thriller in which Kamal Haasan's character is out to track down a serial killer.
