The Batman, Matt Reeves' latest film based on the DC Comics superhero with Robert Pattinson and Zoe Kravitz, has made Rs 15 crore in its two-day run so far.

Trade analyst Joginder Tuteja for Bollywood Hungama wrote that the film made an estimated Rs 75 lakh in paid previews on Thursday, about Rs 6 crore on Friday (March 4) and Rs 8.25 crore on Saturday.

Tuteja wrote that the Sunday earnings should see a 30 per cent rise compared to Friday. Even if it does not hit this mark, an increase in earnings is expected.

Pinkvilla states that in comparison to The Dark Knight Rises (Rs 7.25 crores), this film has made less on its opening day.

The Batman is in competition for ticket sales with Bollywood films like Gangubai Kathiawadi and Amitabh Bachchan's sports drama Jhund. Both films have garnered widespread acclaim and are performing decently at the box office.

Meanwhile, in the US, the film opened to 57 million from 4,417 locations, inclusive of $21.6 million from Thursday preview screening, according to Variety.

The film also has Paul Dano as the Riddler, Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, Colin Farrell as Penguin and Jeffrey Wright as James Gordon.
