The Big Bang Theory’s Kunal Nayyar bags Adam Sandler’s Spaceman

Remember Raj Koothrappali from the Big Bang Theory? That’s right, Kunal Nayyar has now landed a new massive project - Adam Sandler’s Spaceman. The project is his next big gig after 2019, when TBBT ended. The actor is currently working on Apple TV+’s Suspicion.

Another name that has been finalized for the project, is that of Paul Dano. The actor will next be seen as The Riddlr in Warner Bros. The Batman Reboot. Helmed by Matt Reeves, the movie stars Robert Pattinson in the lead role of Batman.

Of course, the makers have finalized Sandler and two-time Oscar nominee Carey Mulligan in the lead roles for Spaceman.

Sandler will be seen as an astronaut who has been sent further in space to collect mysterious ancient dust that could help people on Earth. Interestingly, the mysterious dust belongs to a creature who has existed from the beginning of time itself.

According to reports on Deadline, Spaceman might also star the A-list actor, Channing Tatum. However, fans are not clear whether Sandler will be pairing up with NBA legend Shaquille O'Neal again. Sandler and O’Neal have collaborated for four films, which was the deal between them. It is not yet clear whether O’Neal will find his way to another Sandler film.

Directed by Chernobyl’s Johan Renck, Spaceman is based on the novel called Spaceman of Bohemia. The movie is slated to release on Netflix.

After the Big Bang Theory ended, the cast members have gone their way. Of late, Kaley Cucuo (Penny on the show) was seen in The Flight Attendant. Meanwhile, Mayim Bialik (Dr. Amy Farah Fowler) has started her own show, Call Me Kat.
