The sequel to the animation film directed by Tom McGrath was a blockbuster in the US, here’s how you can watch it in India and other countries
There have been speculations about a sequel ever since the Boss Baby was released and became a huge success, and created a Netflix series and an interactive special. The sequel was then quickly given a greenlight by Alec Baldwin and all the other main characters who are returning for the film.
The film was slated for a release on July 2 but it did not see the light of the day worldwide, except in Germany and the US, due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. The film is available for the US audience to stream on Peacock too. The movie thrived in the US and emerged as a chartbuster to get a hybrid release in both theatres and streaming.
The Boss Baby: Family Business is set in the backdrop of a time period that is 40 years ago with the first film’s main character, Ted, all grown up only for his young niece Tina to be revealed as a Boss Baby herself.
The trailer released in November last year shows the boss baby Amy Sedaris taking up the role of a boss and turns her father, played by James Marsdon and uncle, a role essayed by Alec Baldwin, into babies to deal with a concerning issue in a parallel world. Through the process, the brothers, who could not stand each other while they were adults, rediscover themselves and reunite as the most loving siblings.
Directed by Tom McGrath, The Boss Baby: Family Business is slated for a worldwide release in theatres on October 22, 2021.
