The Boys Redband teaser trailer: Jensen Ackles introduced as Soldier Boy

On Saturday, Amazon's The Boys season three teaser was released, offering viewers a first glimpse of series newcomer Jensen Ackles as Soldier Boy. The nearly two-minute preview is set to the song Bones, which is the first single from Imagine Dragons' upcoming album Mercury: Act 2.

Butcher is battling light-beam-shooting eyes infused by Compound V. A-Train has a brand-new costume and is back to promoting new products. Jensen Ackles' Soldier Boy, a spoof of Captain America, and Laurie Holden's Crimson Countess both make brief appearances. In between these reintroductions, there is a series of gory, gore-filled explosions.

The Boys is a satirical look at what happens when superheroes, who are as well-known as celebrities, as powerful as politicians, and adored as gods, abuse their superpowers rather than put them to good use. The Boys, a squad of vigilantes dedicated to exposing the truth about The Seven and Vought, the multibillion-dollar business that manages the superheroes and hides their dirty secrets, continue their heroic journey to reveal the truth about The Seven and Vought. The seemingly powerless are pitted against the incredibly powerful.

Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Dominique McElligott, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford, Tomer Capon, Karen Fukuhara, Nathan Mitchell, Colby Minifie, and Claudia Doumit all star in Season 3 of The Boys. Also expected to appear are Sean Patrick Flanery, Miles Gaston Villanueva, Nick Wechsler, Frances Turner, Kristin Booth, and Jack Doolan.

The Boys is created by showrunner Eric Kripke, who also acts as a writer and executive producer, and is based on the bestselling comic by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson. 

Sony Pictures Television and Amazon Studios have collaborated on The Boys with Point Grey Pictures, Kripke Enterprises, and Original Film.

Season 3 of the series will premiere on Prime Video on June 3 with three episodes. Following that, new episodes will be released every Friday until the epic season finale on July 8.
