Season 3 of The Boys, starring Hughie, Butcher, Starlight, and Homelander, returns to the world of corrupt, out-of-control supers on June 3 on Amazon Prime Video. With much more excitement and insanity in mind, it's no surprise that the enthusiasm for Season 3 of this show is sky-high. Audiences are counting down the days before the trailer is released, with new characters, plot twists, heroes, villains, and so much more to look forward to. Here are five reasons why The Boys need to release their Season 3 trailer as soon as possible.

1. New Super-Villains are on their way

Let's admit it, there aren't really any nice people in The Boys. The evil ones are our favourite characters. We actually enjoy hating them, be it Blue Hawk, played by Nick Wechsler; Little Nina, played by Katia Winter; Gunpowder, played by Sean Patrick Flanery; or Supersonic, played by Miles Gaston Villanueva. We can't wait to see how horrible they can become and what kind of chaos The Boys will unleash.

2. The Boys to return with guns and lasers to blow heads

The show's nasty and super evil characters are all portrayed by actors who totally kill it on screen. Whether it's our beloved megalomaniac Homelander, played by Antony Starr or The Boys leader Billy Butcher, portrayed by Karl Urban, Starlight portrayed by Erin Moriarty, Hughie portrayed by Jack Quaid, or Mother's Milk portrayed by Laz Alonso, they are the show's spirit and soul. And We get to see them again, and they're coming at us with guns and lasers blazing.

3. Butcher is on his way towards becoming a Super

This is without a doubt the season's pivotal moment. Billy Butcher is developing superpowers of his own! Sure, we saw the vengeance in his gaze in the previous two seasons, but this one seals the deal. The world will be devastated by golden beams, which can equal Homelander's blood red rays. Billy was horrible as a human, and we can't imagine him as a Super, but we're all in for it.

4. More of Starlight and Hughie, too.

Hughie was heartbroken when the love of his life was wrenched from his grasp by a Super. We've wanted him to get his own happy ending since then. We adored when the cute Annie January and Hughie had quite a confrontation. Their journey has taken form over the course of two seasons, equally adorable as they are. With a new season approaching, we need more of them now!

5. The season 3 teaser trailer certainly teased us

If you haven't yet seen the teaser trailer for Season 3, watch it immediately! We get a fairly clever peak into the next season with Imagine Dragons' Bones music in the background. Everything is in here: Butcher's superpowers, bad boys and girls with weapons flashing, bodies and heads bursting, Homelander's fake grins, brand new badass enemies, and The Boys' insanity. And here we are, waiting anxiously for more.
