The Broken News season 2 teaser: Jaideep Ahlawat, Sonali Bendre and Shriya Pilgaonkar's show seems power-packed

The Broken News starring Jaideep Ahlawat, Sonali Bendre and Shriya Pilgaonkar is gearing up to be back with its second season. Makers have finally dropped the first look teaser of the sequel that witnesses an intense sequence.

The latest teaser begins with Jaideep as an anchor reading news on his news channel. "I am Deepankar Sanyal and you are watching Josh 24/7 because it is about the country. My purpose has always been to stand with the truth and for the nation's progress. And in this pursuit, nobody can stop me. News channels that rallied against the country have been rendered powerless and their anti- national leaders are behind bars. They all deserve to rot in jail and I will make sure that they stay there," says the An Action Hero actor, while the montage shows an intense look of a dark jail room featuring a lawyer sitting on the table, a few constables roaming around as well as Shriya and Sonali sitting across each other.

Sonali touches Shriya's hands to console her and ask her if she is okay or not as the latter can be seen as a prisoner wearing a jail uniform. The Mirzapur actor does not reply, while the guard tells the former to not have any physical contact with the convict. "Power has, bloody, gone to his head. Now, Deepankar always portrays a twisted truth and acts like a Messiah of the nation," Sonali informs Shirya, while the latter replies with a powerpack comeback and says, "No matter how powerful the devil is, it cannot escape its destiny to be defeated by the good. I will only destroy Depaankar's empire."

The Broken News is anticipated to also features Indraneil Sengupta, Taaruk Raina, Aakash Khurana, Kiran Kumar, Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, Mugdha Godse, Faisal Rashid, Jay Upadhyay, Jaywant Wadkar, Sukhmani Sadana, Shreya Mehta, Mohan Kapur, Sharad Kapoor and Deepali Pansare as the last season.

The forthcoming media-drama series is slated to stream on ZEE5 soon.
