Kareena Kapoor Khan's The Buckingham Murders has seen very little growth at the Box Office despite it being the first weekend where every cinephile goes to the theatres. The new release still lacks in front of the re-release Tumbbad, and even on a Sunday, The Buckingham Murders saw fewer footfalls. The early trends for the film for Monday do not look promising either. Here's a look at the movie's Box Office collection so far...
The Buckingham Murders had picked up from its opening Friday (the movie minted Rs. 1.15 crores on day 1). With 69.57% growth, the film earned Rs. 1.95 crores on Saturday, Sacnilk reports. While most hit movies show immense growth from Saturday to Sunday, The Buckingham Murders saw a negligible growth of 12.82%. It earned Rs. 2.2 crores at the Box Office on Sunday. This hints that despite the good word-of-mouth on Saturday, the film is not resonating with the viewers.
The Buckingham Murders, directed by Hansal Mehta and produced by Ektaa Kapoor, has earned a little over Rs. 5 crores. The movie minted Rs. 5.30 crores at the Box Office over the three days (Rs. 5.31 crores if we count the early trends for Monday, too).
The film is still struggling at the Box Office, even in front of the re-release, Tumbbad. The Sohum Shah starrer has already minted over Rs. 7 crores and is expected to beat its original lifetime Box Office of Rs. 13 crores.
The early Box Office trend for The Buckingham Murders for Monday suggests that the movie will probably earn in lacs over the weekday. Given the currently booked seats, the film will earn over 0.01 crores. This is despite today (Monday) being a partial holiday owing to Eid.
