The much-awaited trailer of The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It was unveiled on April 23. This time the franchise's leading couple and paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren have their work cut out, as they face a much larger and darker entity than ever before.

In the trailer, the Warrens (played by Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga) are now tasked with proving the existence of the devil in court as they try to defend a youngster who claims that he was possessed when he committed a gruesome murder in broad daylight.

The trailer starts with the young man, Arne Johnson, walking on the road with literally bloody hands, who then gets convicted for murder. The terrifying trailer also shows glimpses of a hand reaching out to grab a kid from his waterbed.

In the last two movies, the demonologist duo was summoned by the families, who were experiencing supernatural and evil presence. The Warrens successfully helped them but it did take a toll on them. In the latest instalment, Lorraine once again is seen tapping into her gift to see what happened in the past, but this time it might cost the Warrens and she might stray too far and not return, as hinted by John Noble's character.

Helmed by Michael Chaves, the trailer promises a good scare. Chaves had earlier directed The Curse of La Llorona. James Wan, who directed the first two movies, has co-written the third one.

The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It is set for a theatrical release on June 4 and will later drop on HBO Max. Watch out for this one, it could leave you at the edge of your seat.
