The diehard romantic in Nagarjuna is back with The Ghost; makers unveil an exciting update about the action thriller

Nagarjuna has always stolen the hearts of his female fans regardless of his age and like fine wine, he has gotten only better with every passing year. After beginning 2022 on a positive note with the rural entertainer Bangarraju and returning to Hindi cinema with Brahmastra, his next release is a hard-core action thriller The Ghost, helmed by Praveen Sattaru. Sonal Chauhan is the female lead in the actioner while Gul Panag and Anikha Surendran too play key roles. The film is set to hit screens on October 5.

The makers had grabbed the eyeballs of many with a swashbuckling trailer and other glimpses from the film. Now, Vegam, the first single of The Ghost is set to be launched this weekend on September 16. The song is a romantic number featuring Nagarjuna and Sonal Chauhan. Bharath and Saurab have composed the music for the number sung by Kapil Kapilan and Ramya Behara. Krishna Madineni had penned the lyrics for the same. 

The poster announcing the news has Nagarjuna and Sonal Chauhan having a gala time together in the middle of a cruise. The Manmadhudu actor hugs a ravishingly beautiful Sonal to plant a kiss on her cheek and she responds to his gesture positively. Gul Panag and Anikha play Nagarjuna's sister and his niece respectively. The film had commenced shoot in early 2021. While Kajal Aggarwal was to play the female lead in the project, she opted out due to her pregnancy.

Narayan Das Narang, Puskur Ram Mohan Rao and Sharrath Marar are bankrolling the film under Sree Venkateshwara Cinemas LLP and Northstar Entertainment. Mark K Robin is on board for the background score. Dinesh Subbarayan, Kaecha choreograph the action sequences with Brahma Kadali handling art direction. Mukesh G had cranked the camera. Praveen Sattaru's next after The Ghost is another actioner headlined by Varun Tej Konidela. In addition, he's doing a web series for ZEE5 too.
