The Laxman Utekar directorial set the cash registers ringing since day one of its release. Coming to John Abraham's recently released movie, it minted Rs 4 crore on day one. The makers are yet to confirm the film's exact day 1 box office figures.
Since it's a festive weekend, it will be interesting to know how The Diplomat will perform at the box office. Directed by Shivam Nair, the film is based on true events. John plays the role of an Indian diplomat who attempts to repatriate an Indian girl from Pakistan, who is deceived into marriage against her will.
