The Diplomat box office prediction day 3: John Abraham's recently released movie opened to mixed feedback from critics and audiences alike. According to a report by Filmibeat, John Abraham and Sadia Khateeb's movie is expected to collect Rs 5-6 crore on day three. Considering it, the three-day total will come close to Rs 15 crore. That said, the makers will disclose the official day three box office figures tomorrow (March 17).
Produced by T-Series Films, JA Entertainment, Wakaoo Films, Seeta Films and Fortune Pictures, The Diplomat is set against the backdrop of India–Pakistan relations. It follows the story of an Indian diplomat who attempts to repatriate an Indian girl, Uzma Ahmed, from Pakistan after she is deceived into marrying against her will.
Sadia Khateeb bonded over bikes with John Abraham
Meanwhile, Sadia Khateeb revealed she bonded with her co-star John Abraham over bikes during The Diplomat's shoot. "The day I met him, I told him about my love for bikes and how it all began when I watched Dhoom as a child in first grade. I was completely mesmerised and obsessed with bikes throughout my school years. When I visited John sir’s home, he showed me his garage—it was filled with the most stunning bikes," she said.
The actress further shared, "I kept asking if he would let me ride one, but he wouldn’t. I even joked with him on set, saying, ‘If our film does well, please gift me a bike,’ and he generously agreed."
After its theatrical run, The Diplomat will have its OTT release on Netflix. It generally takes 45 to 60 days for a film to drop on streaming after theatrical release.
