The Don combination is back? Sivakarthikeyan and Cibi Chakaravarthi set to reunite for SK 24?

Ahead of actor Sivakarthikeyan's birthday on Saturday (February 17), social media is filled with reports and updates about the actor's upcoming films and their updates.

While the actor is currently busy shooting for SK 21 under Rajkumar Periasamy's direction, speculation is rife that Sivakarthikeyan will once again collaborate with Cibi Chakravarthy for another film after the success of Don. However, an official confirmation has not yet been made.

The Don combination is back?

Don, directed by Cibi Chakaravarthi in his directorial debut, was released in 2022 and went on to become one of the biggest commercial successes of actor Sivakarthikeyan. It also became one of the films for the actor to cement his position strongly as an A-lister in the Tamil industry.

As per reports, it is speculated that Cibi will once again work with Sivakarthikeyan on a film tentatively titled SK 24. If the news is indeed true, an official announcement is expected to be made on the actor's birthday on Saturday.

Don, backed by Lyca Productions, also starred SJ Suryah, Priyanka Arul Mohan, Soori, and Samuthirakani, among others, released in theatres on May 13, 2022. The film grossed over Rs 100 crore at the box office worldwide.

Sivakarthikeyan’s upcoming line-up

Sivakarthikeyan was last seen in Ayalaan, which was released in theatres in January. The actor has a glorious line-up of films, with him currently working with Rajkumar Periasamy for SK 21. The title of the film is expected to be revealed on Friday, ahead of his birthday and it is backed by Kamal Haasan’s Raaj Kamal Films International. Sai Pallavi, Rahul Bose, and Lallu also appear in significant roles. Rumours suggest a key cameo by Kamal Haasan, awaiting official confirmation.

Sivakarthikeyan will also be collaborating with director AR Murugadoss on a film tentatively titled SK 23. The film went on floors recently and stars Kannada actor Rukmini Vasanth as the female lead. Anirudh Ravichander will be scoring the music. An official announcement about the project, along with the details of the remaining cast and crew, is expected soon.
