The actor, who recently essayed the role of Mughal Emperor Humayun on the web series, received the award from the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand.

Aditya Seal has one more feather added to his cap this year, winning an award for 'most promising actor’ at the sixth edition of the Dehradun International Film Festival. The model turned actor, who recently starred in the Disney+ Hotstar web series The Empire received the award at the ceremony from the hands of Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, as per reports in Pro Kerala.
Addressing the attendees after his win, Seal said that he was honoured at having been the recipient of the award, especially in the company of the talent present at the event. He also talked about how the film festival, which brought aspiring young talent from all over India under one roof, would bear witness to some great works in terms of short films and documentaries.
The actor, who made his debut as a teen in the film Ek Chhotisi Love Story, recently appeared in Nikkhil Advani’s The Empire a historical drama chronicling the era of the Mughal Empire beginning from the reign of Babur, along with popular actors such as Shabana Azmi, Kunal Kapoor, Drashti Dhami and Dino Morea. Aditya essayed the role of Humayun, Babur’s son, who is chosen as the heir to continue the empire’s rule. His performance was well received by fans. In addition, the actor is also well known for playing the lead in the 2016 romantic drama Tum Bin II.
The Dehradun International Film festival started on September 17 and featured in attendance stars such as Mita Vashisht and Akhilendra Mishra, in addition to Aditya Seal. The event will end on September 19.
