Netflix released the official trailer of Madhuri Dixit Nene's streaming debut, The Fame Game, today.
In the psychological thriller series from Dharmatic Entertainment, she plays a famous actor Anamika Anand, who goes mysteriously missing. The news drives everyone into a frenzy as seen in the trailer.
Fans hold candlelight vigils in her remembrance and along with the news media can be seen raising questions about her whereabouts. The investigation that follows leads to the unravelling of her superstar life which most assumed to be near-perfect.
But as the cop (played by Rajshri Deshpande) says, "There's one reality in front of the camera and another behind it."
The Fame Game also stars Sanjay Kapoor, Manav Kaul, Lakshvir Saran, Suhasini Muley, Muskkaan Jaferi. The series was previously titled Finding Anamika.
Sri Rao is the showrunner and writer, while Bejoy Nambiar and Karishma Kohli are the directors. Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta and Somen Mishra are the producers.
Dixit Nene was last seen on the big screen in Johar's directorial Kalank which tanked at the box office. She is currently a judge on Colors TV reality show Dance Deewane.
The Fame Game will premiere on February 25 on Netflix.
