Manoj Bajpayee's father was 83 and died on Sunday.

In unfortunate news, Manoj Bajpayee's father RK Bajpayee has passed away on Sunday. He was 83 and was in critical condition for a few days. Manoj has been shooting for a project in Kerala and rushed to Delhi on hearing about the sad demise of his father. The funeral of RK Bajpayee will be held at 1:30 pm on Sunday at Nigam Bodh Ghat in the capital.
The statement shared by Manoj's team read as "Padmashree winner Manoj Bajpayee's father R.K Bajpayee passed away at the age of 83 years today morning. Manoj's father condition was very critical the past few days. After hearing the news Manoj has rushed to Delhi from Kerala where he was shooting for his next project. The funeral will be at 1:30 pm at Nigam Bodh ghat Delhi."
In September this year, Manoj had taken a break from his shoot in Kerala and went to Delhi to be with his father after his condition became critical.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Manoj had many outings on OTT platforms mainly The Family Man season two streaming on Amazon Prime Video. The actor also featured in a few films which have been OTT releases namely Silence... Can You Hear It? and Dial 100 both streaming on ZEE5. Manoj was also a part of the Ray anthology featuring in the shorts titled Hungama Hai Kyon Barpa alongside Gajraj Rao. The film is currently streaming on Netflix.
Talking about his upcoming film, Manoj will be seen playing a pivotal role in the Malayalam film Kurup wherein Dulquer Salmaan plays the titular role. The film is directed by Srinath Rajendran and is based on the fugitive Sukumara Kurup. The crime thriller is penned by KS Aravind, Jithin K Jose and Daniell Sayooj Nair.
The theatrical release date of Kurup is yet to be announced.
