The first look of Sean Banerjee’s big-screen debut is revealed

Bengali television superstar Sean Banerjee is all geared up to debut on the big screen with Kabir Lal’s Antardrishti. The first look of the film was released on Monday evening at a Kolkata club. Sean, along with his co-actor Rituparna Sengupta, was spotted at the do. 

While talking exclusively to OTTPlay, Sean said, “I am very excited about my debut. It is an intriguing character that is kept under wraps by the director. The true nature of the character will be revealed much later. All I can tell you is that I had to work hard to portray the character. It was an interesting journey for me as I was going through a dark phase of my life and my mentors stood by me during the journey.” 

Sean, a popular face in Bengali television with Mon Phagun, was also excited about working with Rituparna. “She saw me growing up. For me, she was less of a co-actress and more of my elder sister. Working with her was a pleasure. Meanwhile, working with Kabirji was also a great experience. He taught me how the smallest of things make big differences on the big screen. He takes great care of his work and that comes from his experience as an acclaimed cinematographer in Bollywood,” Sean told us.

The shooting took place in early 2021 on the outskirts of Dehradun, Uttarakhand. 

Meanwhile, Sean is busy with his television work. Recently, he received several awards at a show for his work in Mon Phagun that completed 300 episodes. “The serial has taken a very critical turn and everybody has started believing that I committed a heinous murder. Over the years, I realised that television serials put forward their best effort to keep the audience hooked to the TV. A great deal of care is taken while writing such scripts. I love my job,” Sean signed off.
