The first single Yaerumayileri from Sardar, sung by Karthi, to be out on THIS date

The first single from Karthi's upcoming film Sardar is all set to be out on October 10. The film's music director GV Prakash Kumar, shared the information on his social media handle this morning. He wrote, "Yaerumayileri, the first single from #Sardar will be out on October 10th. The rural folk song is sung by Actor @Karthi_Offl #Yaerumayileri #SardarDeepavali #SardarFirstSingle @Prince_Pictures @RedGiantMovies_ @Psmithran @RaashiiKhanna_ @lakku76 (sic)." 

The musician had revealed in an earlier tweet that the song was an ode to classical theatre performances. Sharing a picture of Karthi singing in his recording studio, GV Prakash had written, "The first song of #sardar will be sung by our #vandhiyathevan @karthi_offl… it’s an ode to our classical theatre performances … the song is a rural folk track named #yerumayileri @psmithran #princepictures @dhilipaction @geroge_dop @AntonyLRuben .. #yugabarathy (sic)."

Sardar is a spy thriller directed by PS Mithran and Karthi will be seen in multiple looks in the film. The teaser of the film was released recently in which Karthik was seen donning varied getups and escaping the eye of the authorities. Raashi Khanna and Rajisha Vijayan play the leading ladies. The teaser of Sardar was released during the screening of Ponniyin Selvan, in which Karthi plays Vallavarayan Vanthiyathevan. Cinematography for Sardar is by George C Williams and editing is by Ruben. The film is slated to hit screens for Diwali and will be clashing with Sivakarthikeyan's romantic comedy Prince, which is directed by Anudeep KV of Jathi Rathnalu fame.

In the meantime, Karthi is basking in the accolades coming for his character Vallavarayan Vanthiyathevan, the spy and commander of the Chola Army in Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan. The film has emerged as one of the biggest hits among Tamil releases and has been lauded by one and all for the brilliant adaptation of the novel penned by Kalki.
