Fans can’t keep calm as the makers of The Flash have released its first teaser. Ezra Miller unveiled the first look of the upcoming DC Comics stand alone at DC FanDome on Saturday. The sneak peek also sneaked to the first look of Michael Keaton’s Batman, along with Miller’s Flash and Sasha Calle’s Supergirl.
“We can’t give you a teaser because we don’t have enough footage. We’re still making the movie,” said Miller as the opening line of the teaser. He also continued saying that they don’t have a trailer either, but they have a sneak peek footage that is ready to be showcased.
Even though more details are yet to be out, it has been known that The Flash will take inspiration from the storyline of the iconic Flashpoint from DC Comics penned by Geoff Johns. The current Flash will portray Barry Allen (Flash/Miller) travelling back in time to save his mother Nora Allen. An alternate timeline will be created as a result, which leads the Earth to chaos and war. The teaser shows the Flash travelling back to a childhood home, which is also the place where Nora has been murdered by the Reverse-Flash.
The teaser also revealed the additional Flash, though it didn’t hint us about the primary antagonist. There is no surprise to see the two versions of Flash together, as this has happened before too. The CW’s The Flash show has brought Barry Allen and the future version of himself together in Season 3. It is also known that Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck will be reprising their epic Batman roles in The Flash. To the delight of Batman fans, the teaser also unveiled a peek of Keaton’s Batman.
The film was originally announced in the year 2015 and the production began as far back too. It has been a long wait till the teaser has been dropped and the fans are assured about getting a release by next year. The Flash is directed by Andres Muschietti, while it is backed by Michael Disco and Barbara Muschietti. Besides Miller, Keaton and Calle and Affleck, it also has Maribel Verdu, Kiersey Clemons and Ron Livingston playing vital roles.
