The first look poster and announcement of the upcoming Tamil web series titled The Game, was released by the makers on social media on Thursday. Expanded as The Game: You Never Play Alone, the series marks Netflix India’s first Tamil web series of this year and is touted to be a thriller headlined by actor Shraddha Srinath. While the long format storytelling is yet to full catch on in Tamil, Netflix on Thursday has announced its first web series of this year, and it is called The Game. Described as a “character-driven thriller that unravels the hidden costs of living in a hyper-connected world,” the series will premiere on October 2.

“As secrets slip through screens and trust breaks under pressure, what begins as a mystery becomes a deeper exploration of identity and power,” reads about the series. The Game will be a mystery thriller that revolves around a female game developer on a mission to track down those responsible for a coordinated attack against her.

It is helmed by filmmaker Rajesh M. Selva, and written by Deepthi Govindarajan. With the cast led by Shraddha Srinath, it will also feature actors Santhosh Prathap, Chandini, Syama Harini, Bala Hasan, Subash Selvam, Viviya Santh, Dheeraj, and Hema, in supporting roles. The series blends sharp storytelling and timely themes, marking the next chapter in a growing slate of Tamil originals. With elements of thriller, family conflicts and hidden truths, The Game is expected to be one-of-a-kind Tamil series.
