BTS’ RM has taken all of his fans by a pleasant surprise after finally unveiling about his second solo album. However, he left hints all across and given what Kim Namjoon, the leader of the greatest K-Pop band of all time is, it does not come as a surprise. RM left clues for his fans to decode and very few actually took the hints.
What were the hints?
RM started posting photos from @rpwprpwprpwp, which was later revealed as his team. The account posted a total of 11 photos, all of which RM shared on his Instagram account, @rkive as stories. Now, when you go back and read the name of the account, that very thing is the biggest hint of the album name – Right Place, Wrong Person.
Ironically, the album talks about feeling like an outsider who doesn’t feel like he fits in. The irony is that Namjoon, much like all BTS members, are in the Korean military and they are outside the realm of the music industry at this particular point (leaving us with some great music, which continues coming but solo, and with a promise to return as the group in 2025). At this very point, ARMY’s count is at its lowest, but those who stay loyal to the band continue to show support, which was visible in Hybe’s stocks going up soon after RM’s album was announced.
The album’s schedule
The first set of concept photos of the album will be out on May 1 and 2 at midnight KST. The pre-release poster will be out on May 7 and that will be followed by the album teaser on May 9. The full album will be out on May 24 at 13.00 KST. The first music video will be out on May 28 KST. The third and fourth tracks will be out on May 31 and June 10 respectively.
More controversy
While ARMY is already furious about Bang PD announcing the album in the midst of the fight with ADOR’s Min Hee Jin, there is more that has the fans angry when it comes to the album. Like mentioned, the full album will be out on May 24 at 13.00 KST. Unfortunately, it is also the day when NewJeans will be marking their comeback in the K-Pop industry and thus, the attention will be divided between RM’s album and NewJeans’ relaunch.
