National-award winning filmmaker Praveen Sattaru and Nagarjuna have joined hands for an action film titled The Ghost that commenced in early 2021. The film, after wrapping its shoot recently, is gearing up for a grand release for Dasara on October 5. Sonal Chauhan is cast as the leading lady in the action thriller where Jaya Prakash, Gul Panag, Anikha Surendran too play important roles. The film’s trailer was launched by Mahesh Babu earlier today.

The story of The Ghost revolves around an Interpol officer who stands up for his family in the hour of need. He makes a promise to protect his sister and his niece and leaves nothing to chance when they face threats from a group of deadly gangsters. Sonal Chauhan plays Nagarjuna’s colleague in the same.

While the premise for the film is basic, The Ghost draws your eyeballs for its slick, well-executed action sequences in which Nagarjuna is as suave and elegant as ever. The Ghost appears refreshing and slick and the fit, agile veteran fits into this universe effortlessly. Praveen Sattaru’s eye for detailing, the grand canvas and the apt casting makes for intriguing viewing. The makers had unveiled a promo surrounding the weapon that Nagarjuna uses in the film - Tamahagane.

Mukesh G has cranked the camera for the film which has Mark K Robin as the composer. Bharath and Saurab have come up with the songs. Dinesh Subbarayan, Kaecha have designed the action sequences. Narayan Das Narang, Puskur Ram Mohan Rao and Sharrath Marar have produced the film under Sree Venkateshwara Cinemas LLP and Northstar Entertainment. The Ghost will lock horns with three other films tentatively on October 5 - Swathimuthyam, God Father and Ginna.
