One question that actor Dheekshith Shetty seems to be unable to dodge, irrespective of how many times he has already clarified his stance, is about his The Girlfriend co-star Rashmika Mandanna’s relationship status. Only two weeks after the release of The Girlfriend, Dheekshith has been promoting his next film in Kannada, Bank of Bhagyalakshmi, and every media interaction has him fielding a question about Rashmika, who reportedly got engaged to Vijay Deverakonda recently.

In the last few days, Dheekshith has often been asked if Rashmika shared anything about her personal life or wedding plans with him during the shoot of The Girlfriend. The actor has repeatedly clarified that he shared a professional relationship with her and that they rarely had time to have non-film related conversations.
Recently, when faced with yet another question about Rashmika from TV9 Kannada, Dheekshith said, “I don’t believe in encroaching in a co-actor’s personal space. That’s how you respect each other; you don’t step into their personal space and they don’t step into yours. I would like to clarify that I have no idea what is happening in her personal life and have not had any conversation with her about this.”
The actor added that this applies not just to Rashmika, but to each and every one of his co-stars. “I am not interested in their personal lives. If at all we have conversations, it is almost always about cinema,” said Dheekshith. The actor has taken time off from the set of his next in Kannada, Bail, in which he is collaborating with Shivarajkumar, for the promotions of Bank of Bhagyalakshmi, a comedy heist drama that hits theatres on November 21. In the coming months, the actor will have films in Kannada and Telugu, besides debuts in Tamil and Malayalam cinema.
