The Goat Telugu box office collection day 4: The Vijay starrer is struggling for occupancy

The Goat was released on a massive scale in Telu states on September 5, 2024. The distributors were so confident that they aired 4 AM shows in Hyderabad. But sadly, the Vijay starrer opened to mixed reviews from the critics and general audience, which is sad to see.

As Vijay has a decent following in Telugu states, the openings were good and Goat made close to Rs 3 crore. But sadly, word of mouth did not help the film and occupancy dropped big time with each passing day. The Goat has now completed four days of its run and has made Rs 8 crore in Telugu states.

With such a dull word of mouth, these collections are decent but on a Sunday, the collections have fallen flat. As films like Saripodhaa Sanivaaram and 35 Chinna Katha Kaadu saw good occupancy, The Goat has failed at the box office. The film needs Rs 12 crore to be in a safe zone in Telangana and it looks like things will be quite difficult.

Now that the weekdays have started, it will be very difficult for The Goat to make its presence felt at the box office. Venkat Prabhu directed this film which had so many stars making crazy cameos. One of the biggest surprises was that of Trisha Krishnan. She was seen in a mass avatar and danced with Vijay in one of the songs.

The Goat was released on a Thursday and there was a very low buzz from day one itself. That is the reason, the film started on a very dull note. Also, the makers did not promote the film well in Telugu states. Vijay did not attend any event and as other Telugu films had a prolific release in Telugu states, The Goat has fallen flat at the box office and is struggling to find an audience.
