The Great Indian Family will release in theatres on September 22

Vicky Kaushal’s The Great Indian Family, helmed by Vijay Krishna Acharya, is slated to release in theatres on September 22. The movie is about a Hindu man who realizes late in life that he is actually Muslim by birth. The behaviour of the society, including his own parents, suddenly changes towards him. The YRF production film also stars Manushi Chhillar as the female lead.
A trailer that promises entertainment
The Great Indian Family’s trailer promises a lot of entertainment through Vicky’s character. Initially a Hindu pandit, he is suddenly discarded in the society and his own family when an astrologer announces that he is actually Muslim by birth.
Vicky-YRF collaboration film
Vicky has collaborated with a production house as big as Yash Raj Films for The Great Indian Family. They started shooting for the movie in November 2020 and it could only wrap up in February the next year. Two years since, The Great Indian Family is scheduled to release in theatres on September 22.
What does Vicky play?
Even though he is essentially the same person, Vicky has two names in the movie. He is seen as both Ved Vyas Tripathi as well as Bhajan Kumar.
Who are the cast members?
Apart from Vicky, Manushi Chhillar, Manoj Pahwa, Kumud Mishra, Alka Amin and Bhuvan Arora play pivotal roles in the film. Their roles and character names are still kept under the wraps.

September 22 release
The Great Indian Family will release in theatres on September 22. The last time Vicky’s movie released in theatres, it came as a surprise. Often discarded as an OTT movie, Zara Hatke Zara Bachke still managed to make decent Box Office. Whether The Great Indian Family can match that remains to be seen.
