Naturally, this makes him a highly valuable asset, and his paycheck reflects that. A recent Mid-Day report has revealed the salaries of The Great Indian Kapil Show cast for its upcoming third season.

At the Next On Netflix event in early February, the team confirmed that the show would return for a third season. Announcing the news on social media, the makers wrote,
"2025 ka funnyvaar hoga dhamakedaar. With bohot saare laughs aur chamakte hue stars. The Great Indian Kapil Show S3 is coming soon, only on Netflix!"
During the event, Kapil Sharma shared an interesting anecdote about Coldplay members expressing their desire to appear on the show. He said, "Humlog toh inko (makers) bole pura saal set lagake rakhho. Aap believe nahi karoge, log Coldplay ke liye ticket le rahe hain, unka email humein aa raha tha ki humein aapke show mein aana hai. Humne kaha, 'Le toh aate, humara chal nahi raha abhi.' Toh, it’s a humble request for Netflix—guys, please keep going on."
(“We told the makers to keep the set up all year round. You won’t believe it—while people were buying tickets for Coldplay, we received an email saying they wanted to come to our show instead! I replied, ‘They should have come, but our show isn’t running right now.’ So, a humble request to Netflix—please keep it going.”)
Joking about his past feud with Sunil Grover, Kapil also quipped, "Season 3 toh inke liye hai; humare liye toh ek aur episode hai. It's a 200-episode serial. Wo bhi humlog tab tak nahi bandh karte, jab tak humara khud ka ladai na ho jaye." (“For them, it's Season 3; for us, it’s just another episode. It’s like a 200-episode series. And we won’t stop until we have another fight among ourselves!”)
