In the new weekend episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show, actors Suniel Shetty and Sanjay Dutt graced the stage. This B-town friends duo reminisced about their career days, families, and some iconic pranks that will definitely make your day.

Ladakh shoot days

Anna, aka Suniel Shetty, and Baba, aka Sanjay Dutt, recalled their Ladakh shooting days when they worked in the chilly weather. While fans were surprised to know about Anna wearing many layers to save him from the cold, the more surprising tales came from Baba’s mischievous ways. Suniel Shetty narrated an incident in which he wanted to stop for a loo break, but Sanjay Dutt told him a lie that they would stop soon somewhere but didn’t take any break; in fact, he drove through potholes. Another incident from the Ladakh shoot involved a bomb scene where everyone was gasping for breath due to less oxygen.

Sunil Dutt’s reaction

During a candid conversation, comedian Kapil Sharma asked Sunil Dutt’s first reaction when Sanjay Dutt revealed that he wished to become an actor. His father said, “Slap.” Baba also narrated how he wanted to take up acting so that he would drop out of college, but it turned out the other way around, as his father used to wake him up at 5 in the morning, and he worked tediously for six months, which made him think that going to college was an easier way.

Baba vs. Sunil Dutt

In another anecdote, Anna revealed that once Sunil Dutt campaigned for the Congress party, and Sanjay Dutt unwittingly opposed him via a campaign for the opposing party. Later, he asked for help, and Anna did it for Sanju but got a good lecture from Sunil Dutt afterwards that he shouldn’t have done it.

Insecurity and generational gaps

The actor duo shared their thoughts about the generation gap between the actors nowadays and the actors in earlier decades. They reminisced about how multi-starrer films had an ensemble cast, but nobody was insecure about each other, unlike today’s generation. “The more humble you are, the more success you get. Nowadays, a single hit film, and the actor goes crazy. First see if you can make it through 40 years,” Sanju Baba shared.

Jail term

Speaking about his time in the jail, Sanjay Dutt shared that he used to earn a wage for making chairs, paper bags, and other stuff. He revealed that he even started a radio station where he hosted a show and talked about various topics.

“Whether I made chairs or paper bags, I got paid. Then I even started a radio station called Radio YCP FM. It used to be played inside the jail. I got paid for that as well,” Sanjay Dutt added.
