He shared that he takes around 125 days off in an entire year, that includes weekends, festival celebrations, and long vacations. He said that ‘time management’ is the key to a successful life. One should dedicate each hour carefully to the tasks in a day.

Akshay as the Tom Cruise of B-town

Filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt had a special message for Akshay Kumar as he appreciated his dedication for doing the action scenes himself. He said, “Hollywood has Tom Cruise, and we have Akshay Kumar.” Sharing an incident from a set of his film, Bhatt revealed how Akshay performed a dangerous building jump despite the great risk. He said that he was so scared to even look at the scene that he closed his eyes and only opened them up after hearing the claps.

Akshay’s tribute to stuntmen

Akshay Kumar credited his long and successful career to the stuntmen that helped him in the journey. Calling each stuntman on the stage to extend his gratitude, he said, “Mere liye asli heroes yeh hain. Inki wajah se mera career hai" (These are the real heroes for me. I have a career because of them). The stunt guys also revealed that Akshay pays for their insurance money.

Akshay Kumar reminisced about a fun incident when he left a song shoot midway (while shooting for Mujhse Shaadi Karogi) to attend another gig that promised to pay him Rs 20 lakh for a show. He revealed how he made an excuse and ran away to quickly perform and return to the set. “Fatafat piche maine apne security guard ko ready rakha hua tha. Motorcycle li, uske piche baith gaya aur karte karte airport tak yaha baju mein fatafat show kiya, apna check liya aur waha se nikla…”

Akshay’s Eidi gift

One of the stuntmen revealed how Akshay Kumar performed a dangerous scene and then distributed its remuneration among the guys as Eidi (money distributed on Eid as a token of love and care).
