The Intern: Neena Gupta bags yet another project with Amitabh Bachchan

Neena Gupta and Gajraj Rao are phenomenal actors who have proven their versatility with every project that they have ever been a part of. However, it was Amit Sharma’s Badhaai Ho that became a turning point in their careers. The actors beautifully portrayed Ayushmann Khurrana’s on-screen parents, who get pregnant much to the disappointment of their sons. They went on to share the screen in Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan, winning our hearts once again. Time and again, Neena and Gajraj have expressed their gratitude for Amit.

Well, much to our delight, the filmmaker has now revealed that he has signed Neena for The Intern, co-starring Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan, whereas Gajraj will next be seen in his film Maidaan. In a report shared by Spotboye, Amit was quoted saying, “Gajraj ji has a solid part in my Maidaan (featuring Ajay Devgan). There was no role for Neena ji in Maidaan. But she is definitely a part of my next film The Intern with Amit ji.”

The Intern will mark Neena’s second project opposite Big B. Back in April this year, she had expressed her excitement about sharing the screen with the megastar in Vikas Bahl’s upcoming film Goodbye. Also starring south-sensation Rashmika Mandanna, the film will feature Neena as Amitabh Bachchan’s on-screen wife.
