Based on the life of professional wrestler Kevin Von Erich and his family, The Iron Claw starring Zac Efron is slated to release later year. Amid the ongoing Hollywood strike, multiple projects' productions have already shut down, while numerous upcoming movies are suffering a great loss ahead of their releases. However, the forthcoming biographical sports drama film has witnessed a ray of hope as it successfully gathered special permission to promote it.
The Special Permission
According to a report on Koimoi.com, the makers and cast of The Iron Claw have been granted a special agreement from the actors union SAG-AFTRA that allows the actors to promote their upcoming arrival. The notable permission will also allow the artists including Efron to attend events and award functions as well.

Written and directed by Sean Durkin, the sports drama movie follows the story of the Von Erich family, who are notably known for giving multiple ace wrestlers to America and also popularised special iron claw professional wrestling hold. However, the story of this household goes beyond the fighting ring.

Bankrolled by Tessa Ross, Derrin Schlesinger, Juliette Howell and Angus Lamont under A24, BBC Film, House Productions and Access Entertainment, the forthcoming flick also stars Jeremy Allen White, Harris Dickinson, Maura Tierney, Holt McCallany and Lily James in pivotal roles. The Iron Claw releases in theatres on December 22, 2023.
