The Kapil Sharma Show: Akshay Kumar accuses the comedian of his films' box office failure

The third season of Kapil Sharma's comedy show, The Kapil Sharma Show, will premiere on September 10. In one of the first few episodes, which are already being teased in a new teaser, Akshay Kumar will accuse Kapil Sharma of being a jinx who affects everything he does, including his recent failures at the box office.

The actress paid a visit to the sets of The Kapil Sharma Show with Rakul Preet Singh. They'll be seen together promoting their movie, Cuttputlli. On September 2, the movie premiered on Diseny+ Hotstar.

In a promotional video, Kapil greets Akshay and Rakul on stage. He asks the celebrity how he gets a year younger on each birthday. To which Akshay quipped that the comedian jinxes everything he does, his films, his money, etc. Suddenly, none of his films are functioning. This caused Kapil and the audience to erupt in amusement.

Just a few weeks ago, Akshay stunned his fans by releasing the teaser for his OTT movie, Cuttputlli. His fourth movie of the year is this one. Raksha Bandhan, his most recent theatrical release, didn't do well at the box office. At the domestic box office, it made a total of Rs 44 crore throughout its lifespan. His historical epic Samrat Prithviraj suffered a similar fate and amassed a lifetime domestic box office revenue of Rs 68 crore. Bachchhan Paandey, his first movie of the year, also generated a domestic total of almost Rs 50 crore.

In the meantime, Kapil is making a comeback with the third season of his show after taking a break to film a Nandita Das-directed movie. The movie, Zwigato, stars Shahana Goswami as his wife and Kapil as a food delivery man.

The actor-comedian has also been touring Australia, where he has been conducting shows with his team from The Kapil Sharma Show.
