Archana Puran Singh, who was last seen on The Kapil Sharma Show, is a popular judge and comedian. Also an actress, she is now gearing up for India's Laughter Champion with Shekhar Suman. She recently opened up about all the jokes made on her during the comedy show and her family's reaction to it.
In an interview with ETimes, she said her husband, Parmeet Sethi, with whom she has been married for nearly 30 years, demands royalty while her mother enjoys all the jokes. Archana has two sons, Aaryamann Sethi and Ayushmann Sethi, who she says are now used to all the roasting.
She said, “They are young modern kids, who watch Hollywood films and standup, which has roasting and there’s no limit. They have seen their mother being a victim of insult comedy and being roasted since they were five-six years old.” She added that her husband believes that he deserves royalty for every punch as he can do the dishes and all household chores.
Archana is frequently the subject of jokes on Kapil Sharma's show, which her mother thoroughly appreciates. Archana went on to say that her mother appreciates Kapil making fun of her and taunts her as she watches the show.
The Kapil Sharma cast and crew are currently touring Canada and the United States for their live performances. The cast routinely posts and keeps fans up to date on their experiences.
The show's final week included Kamal Haasan, who was promoting his recent film, Vikram, and the Jugjugg Jeeyo cast ensemble.
The Kapil Sharma programme is replaced by India's Laughter Champion, on which Archana and Shekhar Suman will be the judges. Kapil, on the other hand, is currently collaborating on a film with Nandita Das.
Archana had formerly replaced Navjot Singh Sidhu on Kapil Sharma's programme, and she has also judged countless comedy shows and appeared in numerous movies.
