The Kashmir Files starring Anupam Kher and directed by Vivek Agnihotri has created a lot of noise following its release. One of the most talked about movies of the year, the drama has earned over Rs 200 crore at the box office despite the mixed reactions around it.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui is the latest actor to comment on the movie. Speaking at the ABP Network’s Ideas of India Summit, he said that he is yet to watch the movie but will watch it. According to Hindustan Times, questions were aimed at him asking why he should watch the movie, to which he said that people are watching and so will he.

"I have no idea about that. But every director has a style and point of view for making films. He made a film from his point of view, which is good," said the actor.

The actor added that when a filmmaker makes a film, they make it from their perspective and that they should be allowed to add their own perspective even in films based on real incidents.

The Kashmir Files, which is based on the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits during the Kashmir insurgency, also stars Darshan Kumar, Pallavi Joshi and Mithun Chakraborty, among others.

The movie hit theatres on March 11 and had a humble opening day, collecting a gross of Rs. 3.5 crore. In the next 15 days, the film grossed an impressive Rs. 211.83 crore in India alone, according to trade reports.
