The Kashmir Files has worked its magic at the Box Office and has achieved another feat in UAE lifting ban on the release of the film. Now, the film’s director Vivek Agnihotri and actor-producer Pallavi Joshi (also his wife) have been invited to the British Parliament to talk about their film and the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits. Kashmir has been facing the after-effects of what transpired in the 1990s and The Kashmir Files intended to convey that message.

Vivek and Pallavi have, according to a report on Bollywood Hungama, been invited to the British Parliament next month. Vivek confirmed the news with the portal. A part of what he said included, “The Kashmir Files was made with the express purpose of taking the message of the Kashmir Pandits’ genocide to every corner of the world.”

Pallavi had earlier revealed to OTTplay that as the makers, they had not only approached various Kashmiri Pandits to come forward and tell their story but also screened the movie in many places across US and other countries. She had mentioned that there were organizers all across who had arranged the screenings of the film in various parts. The Kashmir Files, she said, had also managed to show the Kashmiri Pandits in US what Kashmir on Indian map looks like. Kashmir on India’s map was displayed on Times Square, she had revealed.

The Kashmir Files stars Anupam Kher, Mithun Chakraborty, Darshan Kumaar and Pallavi Joshi in the lead roles. All the actors have received critical acclaim for their performances in the movie. Anupam, especially, has been lauded for bringing his character alive.

The Kashmir Files has earned Rs. 230 crores so far and is aiming to mint at least Rs. 250 crores net at the Box Office. The movie will now be available in UAE from April 7.
