With the success of her most recent movie, The Kerala Story, Bollywood actress Adah Sharma is on the top of the world. The actress has said, however, that she dislikes gender discrimination in the Hindi film industry in particular. Adah has experience working in a variety of industries, including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam, where she has experienced "good, bad, and ugly" individuals.

Adah Sharma recently admitted in a media interview with Siddharth Kanan that she dislikes gender discrimination. She clarified that a director's attitude, whether positive or negative, can be extremely important in determining how comfortable she feels in any sector. No matter which language cluster an actor or member of the crew belongs to, a director who respects them will make their jobs easier. A individual who doesn't treat others with respect, though, could ruin the energy.

She further said, "I have met the good, bad, and ugly in all the places. I find it very strange that they first call the girl on the set and then they say, ‘ok, wait.’ When they see, ‘ok. she is here’, then they call the actor’s manager and tell him to come on the set and the girl is already there. I feel discrimination on the basis of gender, I don’t enjoy working in an environment like that.”

Adah most recently appeared as the lead actress in Sudipto Sen-directorial, The Kerala Story, alongside Yogita Bihani, Sonia Balani, and Siddhi Idnani. At the domestic box office, the film has already made over 200 crore.
